HLB (Chairman Yangon Jin), lifeboat manufacturer in South Korea, has launched ‘Delta Force’, offshore patrol and rescue operation purpose high-speed boat, on July 12th. High-speed boat, Delta Force, is 8.5 meter long and can be operated at speeds of up to 45 knots with 12 person capacity.

The company said, “even in harsh environments such as waves, excellent coordination and self-righting have been optimized for emergency patrols and rescue operation such as navy, maritime police, and fishery patrol vessel. HLB will launch both 10m and 14m long boats soon.

HLB also has launched ‘Hae Gum’, an armed USV(Unmanned surface vehicle), which is able to monitor over the sea without people on the boat.

HLB, located in Onsan industrial complex, Ulsan, is the only lifeboat manufacturer in South Korea for over 40 years. 7000 boats have been manufactured. It was chosen as one of the World Class Product of Korea designated by the government in 2010. Vice president Soon Ki Do said, “We are looking to overcome shipbuilding recession by diversifying research & development and production of lifeboat, yacht, boat, fishery patrol vessel, high-speed jet boat, patrol boat, engine, fiberglass reinforced pipe, etc.”
